Epson IMU M-G570PR2 RS-422

Epson IMU M-G570PR2 RS-422

M-G570Top performanceIP67RS-422

Epson's most precise IMU in the rugged housing: 0.5 °/h bias instability and 0.04 °/√h angular random walk, enabled by Epson's multi-sensor technology.

For surveying, georeferencing and navigation tasks where small errors add up. RS-422 up to 2 Mbit/s, 9 to 24 V supply, less than 1 W, IP67 metal case.

Applications

Where the M-G570PR2 fits best

Surveying and georeferencing

Attitude for mobile mapping, LiDAR and photogrammetry systems with high accuracy demands.

Marine positioning

Heading and motion reference for dynamic positioning and survey vessels.

Stabilized sensor platforms

Optical and geophysical sensors that must stay on target.

UAV navigation

Larger UAVs that must bridge GNSS gaps with minimal drift.

Performance

Allan deviation and key specifications

Same housing as the M-G552 family, but clearly lower noise and drift. The M-G570PR2 sits lowest across the whole curve.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is multi-sensor technology?

Epson combines several sensor elements per axis and processes them together. This lowers noise and drift compared with a single sensor element.

How long can it hold heading without GNSS?

Bias instability gives a rough lower bound of about 0.5° per hour of gyro-related heading error. Temperature changes and vibration add to this, so we recommend a test in your setup.

Is there a CANopen or J1939 version?

The M-G570PR2 uses RS-422. For CANopen or J1939 in the same housing, see the M-G552 series.

Can I test it before ordering?

Yes. For qualified projects we lend evaluation kits free of charge.
