Epson Relay Board M-G32EV051
The relay board takes an Epson M-A352AD accelerometer or M-A342VD vibration sensor and connects it to the USB board M-G32EV041 or directly to your own microcontroller board.
Together with the M-G32EV041 it keeps the USB cable away from the sensor, so cable movement has less effect on vibration measurements. A second 20-pin connector lets you tap the sensor signals for your own electronics.
Where the relay board fits best
Structural monitoring
Record vibration and tilt with the M-A352 before you design your node.
Machine condition
Test the M-A342 velocity and RMS output on a real machine.
Tilt measurement
Evaluate inclination resolution and stability on site.
Own microcontroller
Drive the sensor from your MCU board via the breakout connector.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the relay board for IMUs?
No. The PDG IMUs plug directly onto the M-G32EV041. The relay board is for the M-A352 and M-A342 sensors.
How do I connect it to a PC?
With the USB board M-G32EV041 and the harness M-G32EV051. The USB board is powered by the PC and works with the Epson Sensing System Software.
What about the rugged M-A552 and M-A542?
These sensors have RS-422 or CANopen in an IP67 housing and connect through standard converters. We help you choose the right setup.
Which software do I need?
Epson provides the Epson Sensing System Software free of charge after registration. It shows the sensor data as graphs and logs it to a file. For your own code, the open-source drivers for Linux, ROS/ROS 2, Python, MATLAB and Arduino are listed in our downloads.
Is the sensor included?
No. The evaluation boards connect a sensor you already have or order separately. We are happy to put together a matching set of board and sensor.
Can I borrow a kit instead of buying it?
Yes. For qualified projects we lend evaluation kits free of charge, so you can test in your own system before you decide.
